1. Develop and implement the company��s procurement strategy to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services.
2. Forecast purchasing needs and plan for future supply requirements based on company demand.
3. Align procurement strategies with organizational goals and operational requirements.
4. Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with reliable suppliers and vendors.
5. Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions to secure favorable contracts.
6. Regularly review supplier performance to ensure high standards of quality, cost efficiency, and delivery timelines.
7. Build and maintain long-term relationships with suppliers to ensure continuous supply.
8. Oversee the creation, approval, and processing of purchase orders (POs) to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
9. Monitor the status of POs and track deliveries to ensure on-time procurement and avoid production delays.
10. Ensure timely and accurate invoicing and resolution of discrepancies between orders, receipts, and invoices.
11. Develop and manage procurement budgets and ensure purchasing activities are conducted within budget limits.
12. Analyze procurement costs and identify opportunities for cost savings or process improvements.
13. Implement cost control measures and ensure competitive pricing without compromising quality or service.
14. Work closely with inventory and warehouse teams to ensure that stock levels are maintained and optimized based on demand.
15. Monitor inventory levels, and assess demand trends to avoid overstocking or stockouts.
16. Implement systems to track inventory turnover, shelf life, and product expiration.
17. Identify potential risks in the supply chain (e.g., price volatility, delivery delays, and quality issues) and take proactive measures to mitigate them.
18. Monitor external factors (e.g., market conditions, regulations, and geopolitical events) that could impact supply availability or costs.
