1. Accurately process payroll on a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly basis for all employees, including those working in warehouses, logistics operations, and management roles.
2. Ensure the proper calculation of salaries, overtime, bonuses, and deductions (e.g., taxes, health insurance, retirement contributions).
3. Track and manage employee attendance, including monitoring work hours, overtime, and absence records.
4. Calculate and process tax withholdings based on applicable local, state, and national tax laws.
5. Oversee the use and maintenance of payroll software, ensuring it is up-to-date and functioning efficiently.
6. Prepare and submit monthly payroll reports to the finance and accounting departments, including salary breakdowns, tax deductions, and employee benefit contributions.
7. Calculate and process final settlements for employees leaving the company, ensuring the proper handling of unused leave, severance pay, or any other entitlements.
8. Stay updated on all labor laws and regulations that impact payroll, including wage laws, overtime regulations, and employee rights specific to the logistics sector.
9. Manage employee benefits programs, such as health insurance, retirement savings, and other benefits specific to the logistics industry.
10. Ensure the confidentiality of payroll data, including employee salaries, tax information, and benefits details.
11. Act as the primary point of contact for employees regarding payroll-related queries, including issues related to pay discrepancies, tax deductions, and leave balances.
12. Ensure the accurate processing of overtime pay, incentive structures, and other performance-based bonuses within payroll, particularly for logistics employees working in warehouses or in the field.
13. Work closely with the finance and accounting departments to reconcile payroll and financial records.
